Additional Information

Resveratrol is a natural substance, which is a Polyphenol containing Anti-Oxidants. It is found in grapes, grape juice, red wine and some kinds of fruit berries, including blueberries and cranberries. Peanuts and cocoa also contain some amounts of Resveratrol.

It has been shown in research studies to reduce fasting glucose ( sugar ) levels, as well as levels of Serum Lipids ( Cholesterol ). At the same time,  additional scientific research has discovered that Resveratrol can help reduce Insulin Resistance, a health condition in the body of people who have Type 2 Diabetes. Moreover, because of the various Anti-Oxidants it possesses, this ingredient may also help improve Cardiovascular Health in people with Diabetes.

Finally, Resveratrol is known to also have Anti-Inflammatory properties. This helps to protect damage to tissues and cells that can be caused by Free Radicals. Some recent research has studied the effects of Resveratrol on hardening of arteries in people with Diabetes. It is also believed to help lower high blood pressure, which is a problem common to patients with Diabetes suffer from.
